3rd Interprofessional.Global International Partnership Symposium

I was invited to attend the 3-day Doha Interprofessional.Global Symposium as one of three Interprofessional.Global Regional Representatives for the UK. Interprofessional.Global is the Global Confederation for interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP) and is a consensus-based partnership. Qatar University (Doha, Qatar) hosted the third Interprofessional.Global Partnership Symposium and I was one of 35 representatives from 10 regional networks that collaborated over the 3-day event to set global priorities for interprofessional education and collaborative practice for the next 2-years. During the symposium I joined the Interprofessional.Global Facilitation Working Group, sharing knowledge, experiences and approaches with IPECP. The purpose of the symposium was to strengthen relationships, build trust, setting global priorities and planning to collaborate to achieve better health for all through interprofessional education, practice, and research. Delegates determined Interprofessional.Global priorities and plans to serve as agents of change in providing global leadership to advocate for, collaborate on, promote, develop, and research IPECP innovation. The programme included the opportunity to share work relating to IPECP, and delegates actively participate in the activities of the regional and/or global working groups following the Doha meeting.
