As Africa continues to grapple with pressing challenges, the strategic application of data-driven AI offers a promising avenue to foster sustainable development and economic growth. The 4th African Symposium on Big Data, Analytics, and Machine Intelligence aims to bring together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners to explore the multifaceted role of data-driven AI in achieving a sustainable future. This symposium will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative research, and the development of innovative solutions to address Africa's unique challenges Aim: To provide a platform to increase knowledge in and foster collaboration in data-driven AI, with a specific focus on its application in addressing global challenges, such as healthcare, pandemics, and sustainability.The specific objectives are to:
i. foster interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, practitioners and policymakers to accelerate the development and deployment of data-driven AI solutions.;
ii. showcase cutting-edge research and innovative applications of data-driven AI for sustainable development in Africa;
iii. identify emerging trends and challenges in data-driven AI for sustainable development in Africa; iv. develop actionable recommendations to accelerate adoption and impact of data-driven AI in Africa, particularly focusing on sustainable solutions.
