Description
Advisory committee member for Architecture & Collective Life, the 16th Annual International Conference of the Architectural Humanities Research Association (AHRA). The conference was held Thursday 21 November – Saturday 23 November 2019 at Matthew Building, School of Social Sciences, University of Dundee. The Architectural Humanities Research Association was founded to create a space for thoughtful debate about architecture and its practices. The AHRA 2019 conference will frame this debate in terms of the individual and the collective because, to our mind, these categories unpack the social and spatial relations that organise settlements and societies, and thereby constitute a platform for thoughtful action. The conference included approximately 200 papers in a range of sessions, workshops, and dialogues.
Keynote speakers included:
Jodi Dean, Hobart and William Smith Colleges
Reinier De Graaf, OMA and Cambridge University
Joan Ockman, University of Pennsylvania School of Design
Martino Tattara, Dogma and KU Leuven
