Description
We were invited back to this prestigious annual event to devise a series of workshops on the theme of Habitat. Over three days, in an international collaboration, 35 final year students from Northumbria University and Virginia Tech interior design programmes began by investigating methods of ‘reading’ and documenting the signs, symbols and signals of the buildings in which we live, work and study, to illustrate and highlight cultural themes. Over three days this enquiry progressed to an exploration of the boundaries- both physical and intangible, of our habitats, to question how they act to create ‘insiders’, ‘inbetweeners’ and ‘outsiders’. All three lecturers gave keynote presentations to the students and staff of The Bauhaus to support the theme.Period | 10 Feb 2020 → 13 Feb 2020 |
