A conference poster depicting a project using Lego play bricks as an aid to patient bonding, comfort and education. The substantial commitment of children and young people taking part in clinical trials was recognisied by the nurses working with them. It was also clear that within the options for play during the patients visits Lego play bricks were the preferred option. The clinical team felt this was important and applied to the Great North Children's Hospital Trust for the capital to fund the project. This has now been running for 2 years.
