Presentation; Aims - to challenge the assumption that individuals are autonomous agents with the freedom to make internally motivated occupational choices. Through critical analysis of the literature, this presentation aims to introduce a new perspective to the occupational science discourse and influence occupational therapy practice with socio-economically disadvantaged youth.
