Invited keynote speech to the (due to Covid-19 online) conference on 'DNA in Police Work' organised by The Nordic Committee on Bioethics and The Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board. The keynote addressed the need for a practice-informed ethical governance approach to using biometric data and technologies in policing, based on three core values informing scientific, operational, and societal validation.
