Part of a collegial group of scholars, researchers and practitioners working to build a foundation of knowledge about civil society, philanthropy, volunteering and the nonprofit sector. In May 2019, I participated on the African PhD Seminar, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Seminar was facilitated by ISTR to promote the exchange of ideas about research approaches with scholars working in similar fields.
