Northumbria Water and Northumbria University are keen to develop a long-term partnership covering a broad range of areas designed to create the conditions for achieving strategic priorities. Founded upon a collaborative approach to research and innovation, we have agreed to hold a ‘joint innovation ‘sandpit’ style workshop’. The workshop will bring together staff from Northumbrian Water and Northumbria University’s four faculties to generate ideas and develop understanding of how we can create/apply existing/new knowledge to tackle some of Northumbrian Water’s investment areas/performance objectives, detailed within its business plan 2025-2030. Northumbrian Water are likely to treble the baseline level of investment in their asset base over this period and innovation will figure highly in its approach.
