Description

Ongoing disussions about a collaborative research project:
Outline title:
Future Learning environments: Embracing digital technologies and AI to improve learning environments and deliver Net Zero

Education and AI questions:
1. How can AI be used to tailor educational environments to accommodate the diverse needs of students, including inclusivity considerations?

2. What impact does the current prescribed approach to educational design have on the effectiveness of learning environments, and how can AI help in creating more flexible, outcome-oriented spaces?

3. How can AI be utilised to analyse the relationship between different types of learning environments and student outcomes?

Net Zero considerations
- We need to consider the carbon emissions from AI
- We know that a learning environment which are not fit for purpose over the design life of the building, will require reconfiguration which comes at a carbon cost. Therefore, how can we design flexible, diverse learning environments which embrace new technologies (such as AI), are resilient to long term education delivery, staff and pupil needs, and therefore can reduce the whole life carbon of the school project?
