Description
Stephen Smith is a partner at Wright & Wright Architects, an award-winning practice known for its elegant, functional and timeless cultural and educational architecture. He has led acclaimed projects such as Lambeth Palace Library and Newlands Academy for students with special educational needs. In addition to practice, Stephen has taught a second-year design studio at the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge, his alma mater, where he received the Sir Leslie Martin Prize and the Dissertation Prize. He also serves on Historic England’s Advisory Committee and consults for The Glass-House Community Led Design.In this talk, entitled 'What does zero carbon mean and how can we think more radically about it?', Stephen explored sustainability in heritage settings, offering insights into recent, exciting projects and a behind-the-scenes look at those currently on site.
