Description of impact

Lead for the development of a Regional Training website https://www.pracedne.co.uk/ which has supported over 10,000 staff from across multiple NHS and Private and voluntary organisations to have easy access to training and education resources needed to support high quality practice placements for HEI Health and Social Care students across the North East Region – now developing National reach. During the pandemic access to HCPC and NMC essential training required for student support and supervision was able to continue due to the innovative approach I developed using the website. Post pandemic all providers have now embedded this approach within their organisational training plans.

Documents & Links

Open access website to SSSA and NMC/ HCPC training resources. Has currently facilitated over 10,000 NHS and PIVO staff to have early access to training and resources to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to support NMC and HCPC undergraduate and Post Graduate students from across the Northeast region. This has resulted in a change in approach to the required Practice Assessor/Supervisor and HCPC Clinical Educator training provided. The creation of the webpages and rapidly developed resources during the pandemic ensured the NHS and Nursing Home practitoners across the North East could continue to support students during this time.
