Description of impact

Case Study 'From Dementia to Theatre' describes the development of the social science research project 'risk and resilience' in people living with dementia and its findings underpinning the fictionalised Jack and Jill report. The case study (please see pages 29-30 discussed the representation of this work at the ESRC Social Science Festival 2013 with its outcomes and its impact - these include: increasing awareness and understanding of dementia and its impact; how to present health and social care issues through the arts as well as the festival enabling building and developing new relationships with wider research and practice outcomes - the event was also used by the ESRC as a case study press release, attracting attention to the work amongst online carers' organisations and charities. As this event took place in Edinburgh - Prof Charlotte Clarke, Edinburgh partner presented our case study.
