In collaboration with curators from the Bowes Museum, the painting of Lucretia is attributed to Guido Reni and forms the basis for an exhibition at the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle in October 2019. In the planning of the exhibition a number of significant works by Reni from around the world will be displayed including paintings from the National Gallery London. Research into the materials and methods using technical examination and analysis is being carried out in order to investigate this painting so that comparisons can be made with other known examples and therefore to establish a greater understanding of Guido Reni's work/oeuvre. Novel approaches to presentation of this conservation/science research are planned for the exhibition.
