Description of impact
The 2020 Construction Innovation study of off-site readiness in Indian construction organisations (Bendi, Rana, Arif, Goulding and Kaushik, 2020) identified the organisational and financial barriers to adopting prefabrication. The Asian Development Bank Institute's Policy Brief 2024-26, "Tackling headwinds: challenges and solutions in prefabricated construction in Asian developing countries", followed an ADBI roundtable of policymakers and industry from nine economies. The brief cites the study as the source for financing difficulties in its table of barriers to prefabricated construction and the BIM-based responses to them. ADBI policy briefs are written for government and development-finance readers across Asia.| Category of impact | Public policy, law and services, International development |
