“Prevention rather than cure”…a role for LRFs?

Description of impact

Publication of an article in ‘Redistribute’ a publication passed to all UK LRFs by the UK Government’s Department of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Article summarises initial findings from collaborative works with LRFs and responding agencies across the UK to develop a shared definition of “prevention” and how it can be applied at local level across each LRF. It is co-authored with Stuart MARSHALL, Chief Emergency Planning Officer of Cleveland LRF specifically for practitioners engaged in whole society resilience. All LRFs are invited to contribute further to the work.
