Raising awareness of the Preston co-operative model and the historical commercial relations between British and Asian and British and Australian co-operators and economies among Australian and Asian co-operators and policy makers

Description of impact

This was the result of a series of presentations given in Sydney, Newcastle NSW and Brisbane in December 2019. The Sydney and and Brisbane events were organised by the Business Council for Co-operatives and Mutuals, the national Apex organsiation for the Australian co-operative and mutual movement. One of the Newcastle events was given to the Newcastle Regional Development team for the New South Wales government. A second Newcastle event was for the NSW hub of New Economcs Network of asutralia. The final Newcastle event was at the ICA Asia Pacific Research Conference and focussed on the historical relations between the British conumer co-operative movement and Asia.
