From Antarctica to the Arctic, global warming to disaster risk reduction, Geography and Environmental Sciences research takes place at a truly global scale at Northumbria. Activity in this department is focused in five groups: Cold and Palaeo Environments; Social and Cultural Geographies; Disasters, Development and Resilience; Environmental Geochemistry and Ecology; and the Northumbrian Environmental Training and Research Centre.
