I am a human geographer by training and my area of interest revolves around the understanding of contemporary urban foodscapes in Indian cities. My current PhD research focuses on the newly emerging urban phenomenon of food walks to explore the idea of ‘food as cultural heritage’. In doing so it builds on the affective/emotional experience of urban heritage through the lens of food. I have completed my Masters and M.Phil degrees from Delhi University, India. I have three years of work experience in India’s development sector on projects encompassing health, education, child labour and WASH.
