Biography

Alireza Shafiei is an Associate Lecturer and a PhD Researcher in LHRM at the Newcastle Business School. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Before starting his PhD, his education included a DBA from University of Tehran and Masters in HRM from Azad University.

He has previously worked as an expert in several fields in the public and private sector for several years. Moreover, before starting his PhD in the UK, he taught at Iran universities for several years.

Regarding his research perspective, while respecting the quantitative analysis, he believes that qualitative methods are more comprehensive. He argues that although accurate answers can be obtained through quantitative research, these methods are limited and analysed based on specific questions, whereas the qualitative approaches can cover more aspects of a gap.
