Biography

Alireza Shafiei is an Associate Lecturer and Research Assistant in LHRM at Newcastle Business School, where he is pursuing his PhD research. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Before starting his PhD, his education included a DBA and Masters in HRM.

He brought to the UK extensive experience as an expert in both the public and private sectors, as well as several years of teaching at universities.

He is an expert in conducting systematic reviews. Regarding his research perspective, while respecting the quantitative analysis, he believes that qualitative methodologies are more comprehensive. He argues that while quantitative studies can provide accurate answers, especially in HRM issues, their scope is often limited. In contrast, qualitative approaches can address a broader range of aspects within a gap.
