Research interests

I am a doctorial researcher as well as being a practising games developer. My research interests include Emergent Narrative, Interactive Digital Narrative, Participatory Design, Procedural Generation, and Procedural Storytelling. I am currently working on developing Emergent Narrative systems for improvisational performers. This is the focus of my PhD and has included the exploration of motion tracking with the Gesture and Media System (GAMS) and using Finite State Machines to develop emergent data sets for improvisational theatre performers. I work in Unity3D, programming in C#, I also develop physical games including card games, board games and role-playing games. I am currently working on a project called Hey! Yokai! A board game designed to teach players about traditional Japanese folklore.
