Personal profile


Dr Emily Mann is a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health. Emily is currently working on a joint project with the Northern Hub for Veteran and Military Families’ Research and Healthy Living Lab investigating food security and financial hardship within the military veteran population.


Working under the supervision of Professor Greta Defeyter, Professor Paul Stretesky and Dr Lucy Grimshaw, Emily completed her PhD titled: 'Holiday Provision: A mixed methods investigation of holiday clubs in terms of location, implementation, delivery and impact’. She recently worked on an evaluation of Kitchen Social holiday provision, funded by the Mayor’s Fund for London.
