Research interests

Dr. Teare’s research expertise is around social impacts of sport events and leveraging sport events for such desired outcomes. She is particularly interested in sport participation impacts and youth populations. 


Dr. Georgia Teare completed her PhD at the University of Ottawa's (Canada) School of Human Kinetics in 2022. She complted her undergradute and master's degrees at the Univeristy of Waterloo in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies. She is currently a Lecturer of Sport Management in the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation at Northumbria University.
