Biography

Grace is a Lecturer in Leadership and HR Management at Newcastle Business School, UK.

Her teaching and research interests cover a wide range of topics in critical management studies, gender and women's studies, equality, diversity, and intersectionality in the labour market, especially digital labour. Grace graduated from the Management School of the University of Sheffield, UK. Her research emerges from a fascination with the agency and empowerment of women based on gender and other forms of difference. This includes work on the gendered nature of non-traditional employment manifest in its inherent masculinity and the emergence of women in male-dominated sectors across borders. She has examined how the intersection of gender, race/ethnicity, time, space, and lifestyle can construct and reconstruct younger agents' career trajectories as part of her Ph.D. thesis. She is interested in investigating the interplay between individual agency and structural factors in a variety of empirical settings.

Grace is part of the writing differently collective. She is active in engaging with different writing methods and creative forms of writing, informed by feminist epistemologies, to explore issues of gender, diversity, embodiment, ethics and affect, in organisations. Grace's research has appeared in international outlets such as Gender Work and Organization. She also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several journals, including Culture and Organization, Gender Work and Organization, among others.

Prior to her academic career, Grace worked as a sales engineer for leading integrated system providers for commercial use and professional imaging and display manufacturers.
