Biography

Jon is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Built Environment.  Research interests are primarily related to Modern Methods of Construction, including engineered timber products and sustainability.

After graduating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh with an honours degree in Construction Management Jon taught on numerous vocational programmes such as the National Certificate and Higher National Certificate and Diploma in both Construction and Civil Engineering.  

He joined Northumbria University in 2008 as part of the Quantity Surveying Team and has at various times programme led the Foundation Degree, Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Masters programmes.  Jon is also currently Placement Tutor for the second-year Quantity Surveying undergraduates who wish to seek work experience as part of their sandwich degree.
