Julie graduated from Northumbria University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and in 2007 completed her MSc in Nutrition and Psychological Science.  

After working as a Primary School Teaching Assistant for two years Julie returned to Northumbria in 2009 as a Research Assistant in the Psychology Department, School of Life Sciences.

Julie has assisted with several research projects as a member of the Cognition and Communication (CoCo) Research Centre and joined the Brain Performance and Nutriton Research Centre (BPNRC) in September 2011.  She is currently the Team Leader for BPNRC and is a trained phlebotomist and assists with collection of blood samples and cannulation for studies at the BPNRC. 

Her recent investigations have included the Cognitive Effets of a multi-ingredient supplement in cognitively intact older adults experiencing subjective memory decline.
