Research interests

I am a postgraduate researcher at Northumbria University (NU) in Newcastle, specialising in the field of mathematics. Originally from Pakistan, I have pursued an extensive academic journey, beginning with my bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Education University in Okara Campus, followed by a master's degree from the esteemed Lahore University of Management Sciences.

My research primarily revolves around the fascinating realm of integrable systems. I have delved deep into the study of hydrodynamic chains, with a particular focus on the Benney chain of infinite components and its various reductions. A significant part of my work has involved conducting numerical simulations to demonstrate how the Benney chain upholds the conservation of mass, momentum, and energy. This foundational work paved the way for my exploration into the Hermitian matrix ensemble and, more notably, the symmetric matrix ensemble.

My current research lies in the symmetric matrix ensemble and the intricacies involved in the reduction of integrable hydrodynamic chains derived from the SME. This area not only captivates my intellectual curiosity but also challenges me to push the boundaries of my understanding of mathematical physics.

Outside the academic sphere, I am an avid sports enthusiast. Believing firmly in the synergy between physical vigour and mental fortitude, I actively participate in various sports activities. You can often find me at NU's Sports Central, engaging in cricket and tennis, two sports that I am particularly passionate about. This passion for sports is complemented by my daily visits to the gym, a practice I maintain to ensure a balanced and healthy lifestyle. This commitment to physical fitness not only energises me for my research endeavours but also instills in me a sense of discipline and resilience that I find invaluable in both my personal and professional lives.
