Lesley-Ann joined Northumbria University as a Graduate Tutor in September 2014 following a career in Human Resources in the UK Civil Service. Lesley-Ann completed her PhD in October 2018 which focused on the role of line managers in rewarding their employees from the perspective of Self-Determination Theory.
Lesley-Ann's research interests include employee reward and recognition, the role of the line manager in HRM, performance management and motivation with a specific focus on the use of self-determination theory as a mechanism for theoretically framing these key areas.
