Louisa studies Fashion Photography at the London College of fashion before moving on to a Master's degree in creative entrepreneurship at the triple-crown accredited Newcastle University Business School. She is the Creative Director of Studio Courtenay a responsible clothing brand which is designed and made in the North East region and sells European vintage through Trendlistr. She is a founding committee member of Colour Collective UK, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes colour education through multidisciplinary workshops and lectures. She completed the Cambridge University Institute for Sustainability Leadership Accelerator Programme in 2020. She now lectures at Northumbria University on BA (Hons) Fashion Communication where she runs the Fashion Insight and Innovation (FA5018) and PR, Social Media Marketing and Branding (FA4013) modules. She has previously lectured for the MA Arts, Business and Creativity course at Newcastle University and the University of Sunderland on BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism and Fashion Design & Promotion course.
Her research interests examine the impact of context collapse and popular culture on identity performances and fashion imagery where examines themes of deviancy, delinquency and destruction and considers their rhetorical purpose. The intersection of the visual culture of the Global War on Terror and commercialised media forms is her current area of focus.
