Biography

Madelaine Culver is a writer, visual poet and freelance copywriter with a background in magazine publishing and digital marketing. In 2020 she successfully completed the Writing Poetry MA at Newcastle University, and in 2021 she joined Northumbria University as a practice-based PhD student. Incorporating a range of innovative art and poetry practices, her research engages with the affective and ideological dimensions of woman-led narratives in post-millennial British horror cinema. 

Madelaine's creative work appears in various places online and in print, including Alienist, 3:AM Magazine, and D.O.R. Her debut vis/poetry pamphlet, The Second Dream, was published by Steel Incisors on 14 March 2024.
