Biography
Madelaine Culver is a writer and poet with a background in arts administration. Based in the North East of England, she’s enjoying the region’s vibrant arts scene whilst studying for a practice-based PhD on intertextual poetics and popular film. The creative practice that her research is facilitating explores through a range of text-based and visual poetries the affective, aesthetic, and ideological properties of women-led narratives in post-millennial British horror cinema.
Madelaine’s creative work appears in various places online and in print, including TEXT-ISLES, 3:AM Magazine, ALIENIST, and Seen as Read: an anthology of visual, asemic and photo poetry. Find her online at www.notesfromthetower.info.
