Integrating nursing science with behavioural, digital health, and public health perspectives, his work addresses some of the most pressing challenges facing health and care systems, from workforce sustainability and nurse retention to vaccination hesitancy and the complex health needs of vulnerable populations. His research vision is multidisciplinary, integrating nursing science with the theoretical and methodological approaches of work and organisational psychology to deepen the understanding of nursing phenomena.

Marco holds a Bachelor in Nursing, a Master in Nursing Science, a PhD in Work and Organisational Psychology (University of Verona), and a Docent (Adjunct Professor) position at the University of Oulu (Finland).
