Biography

Dr. Murad Ali is an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the Department of Leadership and Human Resource Management at Northumbria University's Newcastle Business School (NBS). He is currently the Programme Leader of MSc Global Human Resource Management and teaches modules related to HRM/OB. With extensive experience in teaching, training, academic and business research, and consultancy across Asia and the Middle East, he brings a diverse skill set to his work.

His primary research interest lies in advancing research methods to deepen our understanding of HRM, OB, knowledge management, and innovation. He adopts an interdisciplinary approach and has published in top-tier journals recognized by academic rankings (FT50, CABS4, CNRS), such as Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of Business EthicsJournal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Technovation, Business Strategy and the Environment, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Knowledge Management, Corporate Social Responsibility & Environmental Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Business Process Management Journal, Baltic Journal of Management, Journal of East-West Business, Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, and International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, among others. He has been an editorial board member of Journal of Business Research.

He is principal investigator and co-investigator in various funded research projects. He is a member of several professional organisations including Academy of Management, and British Academy of Management. He believes in conducting innovative and evidence-based research for the benefit of the society, scholarly, and practice communities.
