Research interests

Dr. Martinez Rodriguez research is multi-disciplinary, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering topics. His research interests are focused on applied engineering, especially around the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies and methods to low digitalised environments (i.e., construction or agriculture). 

His main research areas are:

Biography

Dr. Pablo Martinez Rodriguez obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering - Electronics from the Comillas Pontifical University (ICAI) in Madrid, Spain. He also holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering - Advanced Control and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. 

Before joining Northumbria University in 2021 as a Senior Lecturer, he worked as a NSERC post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alberta to develop a IALF-certified learning factory and as an International Visiting Professor at the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Outdoor and ski enthusiast, you may catch him in any mountain slope during winter time.
