Samah is a lecturer in finance and accounting at Northumbria University and holds a PhD in finance from Newcastle University.
Before joining Northumbria, Samah was a lecturer and the degree programme director of the BSc Accounting and Finance at Newcastle University- London Campus.. She has taught several postgraduate and undergraduate modules of financial theory, financial derivatives, corporate finance, international finance, and financial management, in addition to financial and introductory accounting and research methods. Samah also supervised 14 successful postgraduate research dissertations in finance and international business management.
Samah's research interests lie under the broad umbrella of empirical finance. Specifically, I am interested in the informational efficiency of financial markets and the role of transparency regulations in affecting market efficiencies/inefficiencies.
