Biography

Seyed Ehsan Ahmadi is a PhD student in Marketing, Operations, and Systems at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems from the University of Kurdistan, Iran, graduating first in class in both programs. He has previously worked as a Research Assistant with the Electrical Power and Control Systems Research Group at Northumbria University and participated in an international exchange program at FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences in Austria, focusing on Energy and Transport Management.

Ehsan’s research interests lie at the intersection of Power System Planning and Operation, Smart Grid Optimization, and Renewable Energy Integration. His work emphasizes data-driven and stochastic optimization techniques, particularly in the context of Microgrid Energy Management, Multi-Agent Systems, and Energy Storage Integration.

His research has been published in leading journals such as Electric Power Systems Research, Sustainable Cities and Society, Journal of Energy Storage, International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, Energy, and Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks. He has also contributed to several book chapters on smart grid technologies and energy systems.

Ehsan is proficient in mathematical modeling and simulation using GAMS and MATLAB, and has conducted training workshops and assisted in teaching undergraduate Electrical Engineering courses. He has served as a peer reviewer for multiple international journals in the field of energy systems and electrical engineering.
