Appointed as Honorary Professor at SEETA University, Uganda, in recognition of sustained contributions to nursing education, research, and academic leadership with international impact. In this capacity, key responsibilities include strengthening collaborative research programmes between SEETA University and international partners; supporting the development of competitive external funding applications; enhancing publication output and providing mentorship to early-career researchers and postgraduate students. The role also encompasses delivering guest lectures, seminars, and research masterclasses; contributing to the design and delivery of capacity development initiatives; and supporting the planning and delivery of international academic events, including an international conference scheduled for August 2025. This appointment reflects a meaningful and active academic partnership between Northumbria University and SEETA University in advancing nursing education, research capacity, and global health equity across the African continent.
