Pump Priming: Development of a skeletal muscle 3-D organoid as a model to test novel drugs and other treatments for muscle disorders



The project will apply multidisciplinary approaches (cell and applied biology, and bioengineering) to generate a human-relevant in vitro three-dimensional (3-D) platform that recapitulates the complex structures of skeletal muscle, the mechanical characteristics of native muscle tissue and is suitable for the study of regenerative processes, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and metabolic diseases
