Abstract
The third edition of the national workshop "Open Source Free Software and Open Format in archaeological research processes" was held on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th of May, 2008, and focused on the use of Open Source programs (software which can be used and modified by anyone) and the adoption of standard formats (whose specifications are publicly codified) within archaeological research.
