    Abstract

A novel surface plasmon resonance sensor (SPR) with an open-arch channel based on D-shaped photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is designed for sensing refractive indexes. The refractive index sensor is sensitive up to 8800nm/RIU in the refractive index range of1.33 to 1.38.
