    Abstract

Chapter 6 outlines a novel solar-driven energy-storage-based hybrid desalination system. The quest for sustainable water desalination technologies has led to the development of innovative solutions such as this novel solar-driven energy storage-based hybrid desalination system. This system represents a pioneering approach that integrates solar energy harvesting with energy storage technologies to power the desalination process. As a component of a hybrid multi-effect distillation and adsorption (MED-AD) cycle water treatment system, a MgO-based solar-heat-storing scheme is also proposed in this chapter.
