    Abstract

A commission for the Great Exhibition of the North. BALTIC along with other major cultural organisations in the NE England was one of the key partners in a successful £5m bid to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Our commission was one of the commissioned works within the curated programme, with £20K funding from BALTIC. A sequence of speaking faces was positioned throughout BALTIC, speaking a long constructed text that explored issues around the instrumentalisation of Art. The presentation was accompanied by a publication that visitors could take away.
