Abstract

In 2024, the EU AI Act became the first-ever comprehensive legal framework on AI in the world as Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The fundamental aim of this Act and other policy measures such as EU AI innovation Package and the Coordinated Plan on AI, is to foster Trustworthy AI in Europe and beyond; to ensure that Europeans can trust what AI can offer.
