Abstract

The World Health Organization had reported that the spate of increased air pollution in the globe is alarming. This research is a manual to guide experts and environmentalist on air pollution assessment procedures. Aerosol optical depth (AOD) dataset for fourteen years was obtained from the Multi-angle Imaging Spectro-Radiometer (MISR). The raw dataset was processed and treated. The aerosol loading over the research location was obtained from the AOD datasets. In this research, we examine the spatial distribution of atmospheric aerosol and its danger to the life form that resides therein. It was observed that emphasis of an assessment report should be based on three salient parameters i.e. aerosol loading, deposition efficiency of likely aerosol emission and aerosol size.
