Abstract
This is the first text that develops Appreciative Inquiry (AI) as a research methodology. AI has been applied by Reed in several research projects, including a multi-national study in which older people interview other older people. Reed was subsequently invited to edit a special edition of ‘Appreciative Enquiry Practitioner’.
