Abstract
The brushless doubly fed reluctance machine (BDFRM) is a new machine design with potential applications in turbo-machinery, variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) hydro and wind power applications, commercial and industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications, and pump applications. In this article, the benefits of this design is further demonstrated through comparison with other designs such as SYNCREL.
