Abstract
‘Calling Across Borders’ is a short film in which young refugees leave messages for those to whom they would most like to speak. A collaboration between Dr Sarah Jackson (Nottingham Trent University) and Compass Collective, with sound design by Rosie Ash and animation by Maria Belik, this short film gives an insight into the lives of ten displaced, yet resilient, young people who are making the UK their new home. Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
