Abstract
This chapter explores the way in which accounting, as a social, political, and institutional practice, can be used to improve the governance of football clubs. We draw on the context of the UK government’s Fan Led Review of Football Governance to set out the role that accounting can play in enhancing accountability and transparency to supporters, frequently a marginalised voice in the powerplay of international football.
