    Abstract

    BERTINI, Catherine Ann, American public servant and ninth Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) 1992-2002, was born 30 March 1950 in Syracuse, New York, United States. She is the daughter of Fulvio Bertini, engineer and city councilman, and Ann Vino, nurse. In 1988 she married Thomas E. Haskell, photographer. They divorced in 2007 and in 2011 she married Thomas Milton Knobel, managing consultant.
