Abstract

Discusses the use of undertakings by solicitors and how they can be enforced, focusing on the use of undertakings during the conveyancing process. Examines the decision in Harcus Sinclair LLP v Your Lawyers Ltd (SC) on the components of a solicitor's undertaking and its implications for enforcement of undertakings under the court's inherent supervisory jurisdiction.
